Exhibition | 1956 – 2026: WHAT ENTERPRISES!

From February 27 to March 5, 2026, on the occasion of Milano MuseoCity 2026, MUMAC and MuseoCity present a special exhibition dedicated to innovation, design, and technology of Made in Italy. The exhibition “1956–2026: WHAT ENTERPRISES! Italian companies between legacy and future”, hosted at the Cimbali Group Flagship in the Tortona district of Milan, coincides with the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games of Milano Cortina, emphasizing the role of sports as an accelerator of development and international visibility. For this initiative, several companies, museums, and corporate archives have been involved, lending products, posters, archival materials, videos, and objects to stage a narrative filled with comparisons, analogies, innovations, and radical social, stylistic, and technological changes between the two symbolic years 1956 and 2026, the first and last Winter Games held in Italy.

In addition to MUMAC with some pieces from its own collection, the following participate in the initiative: Museo Alessi, Archivio Storico Barilla, Fondazione Fiera Milano, Fondazione Fila, Museo Kartell, Lavazza, Martini Archive, Archivi Olivetti, Fondazione Pirelli, and Archivio Storico Sisal.
