Exhibition | Images of Italy: Milan in Focus
On the occasion of Milano MuseoCity and the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Deutsche Bank Italy is proud to announce Images of Italy: Milan in Focus, an exhibition that celebrates the bank’s longstanding connection with the city of Milan, which has been hosting its Italian headquarters for nearly twenty years.
The project brings together artworks from the Deutsche Bank Collection, one of the most significant corporate collections of contemporary art worldwide, comprising over 50,000 pieces displayed in more than 500 offices worldwide.
This initiative reflects Deutsche Bank’s commitment to supporting contemporary art and fostering cultural dialogue. Images of Italy: Milan in Focus explores the identity of Milan and its role within the broader Italian cultural landscape through the perspectives of four internationally acclaimed artists. Vincenzo Castella presents panoramic views that reveal the architectural complexity and historical depth of the city. Gabriele Basilico, in his celebrated Milano series, captures the elegance of industrial architecture and the transformations of the urban fabric. Ina Weber, with works such as Imbiss, Giardini Pubblici, Mailand, reflects on metropolitan everyday life with irony and precision. Martin Liebscher, in his photographic work Scala Loge, introduces a surreal and playful interpretation of cultural spaces, merging reality with imagination.
Together, these works create a multifaceted narrative that connects Deutsche Bank’s presence with the cultural and architectural vitality of Milan. The works also highlight the two media that have been at the core of the Deutsche Bank Collection for 45 years by now: works on paper and photography.
The exhibition celebrates a city that is both local and global, rooted in tradition yet oriented towards the future - a city that, like The Olympic and Paralympic Games, embodies diversity, creativity, and progress.
Free entry.
