Museo Bagatti Valsecchi
late 19th - early 20th century
photographs
For Museo Segreto, the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi exhibits a selection of unpublished photographs from its historical archive. Collected by brothers Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi in the second half of the 19th century, these images document architectures, decorations, and ornamental details that became a source of inspiration for the design of the residence on Via Gesù. Through this photographic nucleus, the refined creative process of the two brothers emerges, who managed to reinterpret models from the past, transforming them into original elements of their neo-Renaissance project. A journey that unveils the silent dialogue between image and architecture, between memory and invention.
