Panorama da quota 1142 di Monte Campolongo

Palazzo Moriggia | Museo del Risorgimento
1918
photograph, gelatin silver print

The three photographs, arranged to form a panorama, are part of a series of 70 photographs taken by Arturo Andreoletti between January and October 1918 while he was fighting on Monte Grappa, all with handwritten topographical indications regarding Italian and enemy positions. The Val Brenta is immortalized in the center, between Col d'Astiago on the left and Col Moschin on the right.
The work will be exhibited alongside a selection of other objects and memorabilia from the deposits and the archive of the Civic Historical Collections, usually not displayed to the public, to tell The Mountain in the First World War.
